Polytech Nantes, school of engineering of the university of Nantes
Polytech Nantes, the Graduate School of Engineering of the University of Nantes, is accredited by the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur (CTI), the French institution which awards engineering degrees.
A member of the
Polytech Group, Polytech Nantes was the first polytechnic engineering university in France. The school benefits from a scientific and academically stimulating university environment and, in keeping with its dedication to create well-rounded engineers, Polytech Nantes is privileged to maintain close connections with a number of businesses and with the economic world at both the national and international level.
The school in numbers
Two campuses of over 35 000 m2 split between Nantes (site of La Chantrerie) and Saint-Nazaire (site of Gavy), Polytech Nantes has approximately:
- 1,000 engineering students
- 280 prep course students (PeiP)
- 250 students preparing their pre-doctoral and doctoral theses
- 127 professors and lecturers
- 80 members of the administrative and technical staff
The 300 engineers who graduate from Polytech Nantes every year build upon a vast network of over 5,600 graduated engineers already in the workforce as of 2011.
