Image and video communication (IVC), research team of the Nantes Communication and Cybernetics Research Institute (IRCCyN, UMR 6597 of CNRS).
Management and summarization of multimedia data (ATLAS-GRIM) and Knowledge and Decision (COD), research teams at the Nantes Atlantic Computing Laboratory (LINA, FRE 2729).

The Institute of Man and Technology (IHT)
Part of Polytech Nantes, the IHT plays an elementary role in the education of engineers who favour interdisciplinary research in the fields of engineering and the human and social sciences. The following two research topics have thus been developed :

- Objects, Businesses, and the Technologies of information and communication (OSTIC)
