Admission to the engineering course

A- A+ Aa

The schools of the Polytech Group offer scientific and multidisciplinary training courses which correspond to high-level international Master's degrees (Master of science, Master of engineering with Honors). Scientific, technical, professional, linguistic, social and human elements are critical aspects of the course and the hallmarks of a French engineer.

Access according to the highest level of study :

A secondary school diploma with a specialization in the sciences

You may apply for admission to the « Parcours des écoles d'ingénieurs Polytech » (PeiP).

The PeiP is a preparatory programme of 2 years which subsequently offers direct access to the engineering course (5 years of studies).
This preparatory course, from semester 1 to semester 4, corresponds to 120 ECTS credits and consists of generalist classes taught at a scientific uiversity (corresponding to the first two years of a French "licence" in physics) which are complimented by specialized courses at a school of the Polytech Group.

How to apply for admission

  • If you are pursuing a secondary school diploma in a French secondary school abroad, or If you are studying for the equivalent of secondary school diploma outside of France and if you are French-speaking:
  • If you graduated from a French secondary school abroad less than one year ago, or if you hold an equivalent diploma in your country and if you are French-speaking :

Two or three years of undergraduate studies

You may apply for admission to the engineering course.
There are two processes of admission:

  • The CPGE : French national engineering school entrance examination

If you completed the CPGE programme in your country.
In 2008-2009, more than 1100 places were available to CPGE students of France and French-speaking countries. This exam allows successful students to join one of 56 specialities offered by the schools of the Polytech Group.
The CPGE course replaces the initial first two-years of university studies usually requiered to enter an engineering school. CPGE students thus finish the final three years of study at a Polytech school, completing semesters 5 through 10 in a Polytech Group School, for a total of 180 ECTS credits.
